BIOCHEMISTRY

Introduction

The department of Biochemistry of this institute was established in 1982 after separation from Physiology Department. Since then the department has been involved in patient care, teaching & research. The Department provides, round the clock, 365 days a year, Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory Services to all the patients attending SSG Hospital. In addition to teaching undergraduate MBBS students, department also conducts classes for Physiotherapy, B.Sc. Nursing & MLT courses. Postgraduate students pursuing MD & M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry course are also trained in our department. The faculty of the department is actively involved in academics, research, publications and paper presentations in various conferences.
